My passion to watching breakdance has been enflamed since the 23rd of October 2011 by Street Life Supreme, a b-boy-crew and well-known streetartist-group in Vienna. I decided to build up a platform to give better support to Hip Hop artists like dancers, b-boys, DJs and MCs who were born or are living or working in Vienna. And this is how the Hip Hop in Vienna Blog started in May 2014.

Intro by Kath:
I got to know Stella through a b-girl in Vienna. Since then, we have been sharing our love to Hip Hop culture. We take pictures of battles in Austria regularly or just enjoy the battles and cyphers. Her passion, her reliability and motivation made me ask her to support the HHVB. This is how she came into the HHVB-team.

My passion to HipHop has been roused with the first dope beats I heard on the radio at the age of 12. I listened to Eminem's Marshall Mathers LP, to Wu-Tang-Clan, Dr. Dre and stuff like that at that time. In Vienna's HipHop culture, I introduce myself as a dancer, photographer and as an event manager.

I can't answer the question, "How long have you been dancing?" because I have been dancing my whole life even as a little child and everytime when there was the perfect beat. I have never started to dance professional or went to courses in dancing schools until now. I'm a pure freestyler. I get my inspiration from the street and from life itself. I love to mix all styles, so it can happen that you see me mixing latin moves with break freezes and c-walk.

Unfortunately, I came into Vienna's dance scene a little bit late. In summer 2012, a bboy from Bosnia, who was in Vienna to do streetshows, showed me this awesome world. I'll be forever thankful for that because nowhere you can meet such motivated people and feel so good vibes!

I have been taking pictures my whole life because I love to catch the perfect moment and look at the photo afterwards to see an everlasting memory. End of 2013, I have started to take pictures at battles with my first professional camera.

Intro by Kath: Knowing Danae through Bboy Dr. Ill aka MC Bobi, I found in her the mind of Hip-Hop music. A good heart, her knowledge about American oldschool Hip-Hop, her connections in Hip Hop in Vienna made me ask her to support the HHVB.

Intro by Kath: Through my friend, supporter, model, dancer and dance teacher Ivana Stojkovic, I got to know House dancer Mr. Ritz. He is a core member of the TRIPLE G dance association. Its philosophy is bringing back the oldschool Hip Hop philosophy (Peace, Love, Unity and Having Fun) and Hip Hop history through teaching dance.
